FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

What will be on the menu?

Due to the nature of Mill House sourcing a specific menu for these events will not be published. We use the freshest ingredients, selected from farmers we have close working relationships with. Menus are often finalized in the days and even hours leading up to an event. The Chefs will be using Maui’s finest ingredients and collaborating to craft a menu which is thoughtful, fresh, and representative of the goodness Maui farms has to offer.

I have an allergy or dietary restriction. Will you accommodate?

We apologize, but Chefs Invitational is unable to accommodate special dietary requests. These Chefs will be using Maui’s freshest ingredients, often chosen only in the hours leading up to the event.

What is included in my ticket price?

For all events during the Invitational the price includes admission, food, tax, and gratuity. Ticket prices do not include beverages.

Can I bring my own wine?

No outside wine is allowed on premise for this series of events. A full bar and extensive wine list will be available at all events during Chefs Invitational.

Do you offer Kama’aina? Do you have any special discounts?

There are no explicit discounts offered for these events. Combination tickets at a discounted rate are available for purchase. Sunday’s Chefs Barbecue Celebration has been purposely priced at an excellent value.

What is the package deal?

Friday Multi Course Dinner + Sunday Chefs Barbecue Celebration = $240 Saturday Multi Course Dinner + Sunday Chefs Barbecue Celebration = $240 Friday Multi Course Dinner + Saturday Multi Course Dinner + Sunday Chefs Barbecue Celebration = $400 All prices are inclusive of tax and gratuity and do not include beverages.

What is the dress code?

Dress code is casual. Attendees of Friday and Saturday’s events are encouraged to bring a light jacket, sweater or long sleeved shirt as the winds of Waikapu can be chilly at time and the event is held on an outdoor lanai with two enclosed walls.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the nature of this multi-faceted event we will be implementing a cancellation policy. Cancellations will be fully refundable up through Thursday, October 27th. After this date tickets will be transferrable, however they will not be refundable.

How can i get involved with the Chefs Invitational?

This event will be privately staffed. Students from the UHMC Maui Culinary Academy have extended their willingness to help and such help has been coordinated.

Where do I park for the event?

Complimentary parking will be available for all events at the Maui Tropical Plantation in our private parking lot.

Will I get to meet the Chefs?

Of Course! Chefs Invitational is the perfect opportunity to meet these talented Chefs and see them in action. All events during the Invitational will provide the chance to see the Chefs cooking and interacting. We encourage guests at all of these events to get up out of their seats, come to the “Chef's Table” and see what they are up to. Introduce yourself, ask questions, and learn from them. This is an interactive experience. Sunday’s Chefs Barbecue Celebration will also provide an excellent opportunity to meet and mingle with the Chefs.

What time should I arrive?

Friday and Saturday’s Chef's Table events begin at 5 pm with a Cocktail Hour. The Chef's Table Tasting Menu will begin at 6 pm. These events will last approximately 3 to 3.5 hours. Friday and Saturday’s Chefs Table events begin at 5 pm with a Cocktail Hour. The Chefs Table Tasting Menu will begin at 6 pm. These events will last approximately 3 to 3.5 hours.

What is the cost?

Friday Chefs Table, $200 Saturday Chefs Table, $200 Sunday Chefs Barbecue Celebration, $65 Duo Pass $240 All Events Pass $400 The above prices are per person inclusive of tax and gratuity and do not include beverages.

Are reservations required?

Reservations including advance ticket purchase are required for Friday and Saturday’s events. Reservations are highly encouraged for Sunday’s event. The event is open to the first 300 people to reserve. Should the capacity not be reached tickets will be available at the door.
